DID YOU KNOW...

Natural England has spent an impressive £5.8m on upgrading the entire C2C route, ensuring it will maintain its rightful place as one of the most demanding and awe-inspiring long-distance footpaths ever.

The Passport was founded and continues to be run by Richmond Yorkshire CIC with support from local councils, National Parks and the Wainwright Society. Proceeds from the sale of every Passport go towards supporting organisations helping people to access the outdoors.

Will this be you…

More than 6000 hikers undergo the Coast to Coast walk each year - all of them testing their mettle on the arduous 192-mile journey across England, tackling the windswept peaks, fells and moors of three majestic national parks.

If you're planning on being one of them then sign up today and look forward to receiving your personalised completion certificate to celebrate your success.

Mark your adventure...

Every long-distance walk has its highs and lows - and when it's the C2C that means physically as well as emotionally! Passport holders share tales of unexpected triumphs and meaningful encounters, and the Passport stamps serve as reminders of such magical moments.

Your Passport remains live indefinitely until your journey is complete, even if you decide to tackle the walk in stages over several years!

Support the cause ...

As a passport holder you get to save some money while helping others to access a life outdoors.

As a passport holder you also get discounts at participating restaurants, cafes, pubs, shops and accommodation providers – so you can enjoy some well-earned treats while supporting rural communities along the way.

Meanwhile, proceeds from Passport sales allow generous donations to organisations supporting others to enjoy the outdoors, including The Wainwright Society and Julia Bradbury's The Outdoor Guide Foundation supplying thousands of schoolchildren with waterproofs and wellies. And there are now plans to donate to Natural England’s Northern Trails Partnership to help secure the future sustainability of the route.
