DID YOU KNOW...

It’s taken years of campaigning, and the relentless footsteps of thousands of committed walkers, for one of the UK’s oldest and most popular long distance walking routes to be recognised as a national trail.

Natural England is spending £5.8m on upgrading the route, ensuring it will remain one of the most challenging and awe-inspiring long-distance footpaths for years to come.

The Passport has been developed by Richmond Yorkshire CIC with support from local councils, National Parks and the Wainwright Society.

Will this be you…

During 2025, more than 6000 hikers are expected to undergo the Coast to Coast walk - a challenging journey from St. Bees to Robin Hood’s Bay across the peaks, fells and moors of three national parks. Every walker deserves a medal - or better still, a stamped passport and completion certificate to commemorate their success.
